Carolyn Kreiter-Foronda was Poet Laureate of Virginia from 2006-2008. She is the author of six books of poetry and coeditor of two anthologies. She has received five grants from the Virginia Commission for the Arts and numerous awards, including an Edgar Allan Poe first-place award. An accomplished visual artist, she teaches art-inspired poetry workshops for the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
